Our first job was to rekey the building and audit the kit left behind, seeing what could be repurposed to meet the owner’s environmental goals. Next we designed a cabling solution that gave all occupants seamless connectivity from the top offices down to the ground-floor cafe. The comms room was set up on the ground floor. Here we drew on our crucial experience of designing complex rack layouts, allowing all technology to be housed, neatly patched and easily accessible.

The project was undertaken in phases as a new raised floor was installed throughout the building. On completion of the building works, Sand assisted occupants with the move-in process, including moving floor boxes, refitting carpet, adding additional cabling for wi-fi networks, mounting TVs and providing data connections. We were able to accommodate last-minute design changes and still deliver this large project on schedule.
